Ribed Edge Hat in Crystal Palace Taos (mirage)

I love this hat!, it is more blue/purple then it actually shows, but it striped really nicely. I knitted it in a couple of days and i finished it tonight. it will be a gift for a wonderful person at church who has helped to bring me closer to God.

whats on the needles

well right now I am knitting a blanket for the Project Linus charity, its a nice soft pastel yellow in a cotton blend, its turning out really nice i will be sad to see it go, but i know it will touch a child who needs it so its worth the hard work and sayig goodbye!
I just finsihed a hat scarf combo, i have a few pictures i will post here,it was made in a delicious soft yarn, and everyoen wants one! i thought it was going to start getting cold but this week is supose to be in the upper 70's and it might have broke 80 today, so it will be ready and waiting when i need it. another project i am going to start is a couple of hats, one for my dad it is going to be in a chunky alpaca and a cable knit one like the grey one i did last year for mike. the other in creamy white for a friend and fellow knitter. I have 2 skeins of it around here somewhere but i can not seem to find it, at $15 each i will have to look harder to find it! oh and the yellow sweater i was kniting for sarah, frogged yep the whole thing, i am going to start over, noticed some irregularities and so i figured i would just start over, no biggy...
alright picture time!
Just finished

oh its so soft!

Marian in my first knitted bib.

have you seen my sock? i need to finsh it and start on the match.

here was the start of it.

if you have never done a sock you should try it it is really pretty easy, i know it seems a bit scary knitting on the dpn's but its no differant that the top of a hat knitted in the round.

its been to long

I know it has been awhile since i have posted anything on here, I promise i have been knitting. so to prove it i am going to add some more pictures on here. 1 is a sweater that I recently knitted for a friends baby, i love it so much that i am having a hard time parting with it!

This is the second thing I ever knited the first was a hat, this is sarahs baby blanket made in a K1 P1 reversable pattern from the book Knits Knots Buttons and Bows, made in casscade superwash 220, it was a 30x30 until daddy washed and dryed it ( made from wool) now its put away and is semi felted, Im currently staring at a pattern for the next washable one to make!

the pattern is a reynolds pattern made in Blossom yarn. it took almost 3 skiens.

her baby is 2 month old and then i put it on Sarah who is 1 and it fit her to!

here is a hat ive done with multi stripes.

wool diaper soaker

so this is the easiest pattern! this could easily be knitted up in one day. This yarn is 220 supperwash by cascasade, 100% wool. it is machine washable and treated so if you have wool alergies it is a nice soft clean wool. It will not take me a whole skien to make! i could probably make 3 with 1 skien!
